Tribunal Grants Saraki Bail on Recognition, Adjourns till October 21st

The code of conduct burea in a sitting on tuesday in Abuja, the Federal Capital, adjourned the case against the incumbent president of the senate Senator Bukola Saraki, over false declaration of Assets during his tenure as Governor of Kwara State.


The 13 Count charge borders on false declaration of assets which has lingered since his last political office. Saraki who appeared before the Court pleaded not guilty to all the charges leveled against him by the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Saraki's lead counsel, Joseph Dauda(SAN) in his argument posed that the accused should not take the dock in tendering his pleas. After the Senate President presented his please, the court granted him bail based on Self Recognition. However, the Prosecution rested on the bail ruling.
The case has been adjourned till October 21st
